Local Parks

Russell Arms resident are within a 10 minute walk of two well known parks.

Reservoir Park is a one minute walk from your apartment. This 36 acre park features tennis courts, walking paths, fountains as well as children's playground equipment. The parks boundary is Grand Boulevard on the west, Interstate 44 on the north,   Compton Hill on the east and Russell Boulevard on the south. Stately mansions on both Russell and Compton line the streets.

Scenic views of downtown Saint Louis,  Central West End, Clayton, and the Illinois side of the river  are just a short climb up the stairways to the top of the reservoir. New Years eve as well as Fair St Louis events will always find local residents atop the reservoir to watch the magnificent fireworks display.

Local dog owners can be found walking their 'baby's' through the park, pet owner residents of the Russell Arms are often spotted in conversation with others at almost any time of the day or night. Some of the pets are really amazing. I have been captivated by their looks and personalities so decided to post a few pictures of the local animals. Be sure and visit Barks in the Parks page.

Tower Grove Park in indeed a treasure to all who visit. This 289 acre jewel abound in delights for all members of the family. Band concerts, walking and bicycle riding paths, softball fields and tennis courts are just one of the many attractions the park offers. The 'Ruins' is a magnificent fountain that often has wedding party photo parties waiting their turn for photo opportunities. You will certainly see your neighbors in one of the many areas of this historic place. Best of all (for us) is that it is only a 10 minute walk from your front door!
